About the Author:
Sameer Tanti is an acclaimed poet and author from Assam, India. His debut collection of poetry, “Juddha Bhoomir Kabita”, was first published in 1985 and is now considered a classic of Assamese literature.
Tanti’s work speaks of the rhythm and conflict inherent in life, echoing the voice of the common man. His work is a vivid exploration of themes like nature, love, and protest. He has published fifteen volumes of poetry, four volumes of literary essays, two translated volumes of Japanese & African poetry, and two short story collections.
